it is a ravenheat boiler. water was coming out fine for 2 weeks but now nothing.. zilch. but as i said...the bath taps now have hot water and that is where i have attached shower hot/cold too. the pipes were flushed before installation so i have discounted debris from my pipe fitting...

fitted a bathroom and shower valve (thermostatic). h/w works from a combi. water started coming out warm from all taps but shower was working but giving warm also. 2 weeks ltr customer states that shower valve not working but hot water (not as hot as it used to be )coming out of all taps...

when you do hot water from the bath tap does it come out ata a good rate. try taking the shower attachment (hose and head) off and see how much hot water spouts out of outlet. get some towels ready. if this is okay then it is your shower hose or head. get back to me soon. dazzab

SDG i did as you said, isolated the cold feed to combi and no water came out of hot tap. opened valve again and The boiler had trouble igniting and cut out after a while of hot tap being on., then came back on then off etc ravenheat boiler. cutomer did ask if i was responsible for...

spoke to a fitter today and he said that if the stopcock is opened right up that this can cause this problem so close it up a bit. how true is this???? said that the pressure is overpowering the boiler??????????

nope never checked it but the customer says she has had it 7 years and serviced 2 months ago. am back there in 2 days when i will try the isolation of combi. im hoping its as easy as a diverter fault or any fault on combi as it has me stumped at the mo. then she will have to get the inspector...

do ya mean isolate combi only while mains water is still on.??? blimey im back in training again.....lol

nice 1 doitall i laughed my head off. i undid all pipework and checked the out put and everything was the same...cold out of cold outouts okay.......hot out of hot outputs start hot then go cold then hot. thank for all replies guys and keep em coming....all could be of help.

yep sorry. but yes i mentioned 1.5 bar incase someone asks about pressures etc. bath/basin taps run cold for a while then heat up and go cold then hot, so same prob. basin is 2 ft away from boiler. kitchen taps getting hot water. piping all correct. im no corgiman but thought boiler...

Fitted a bath with a shower mixer on the deck. Also fitted thermostatic shower valve on wall. I took the feeds for the shower valve from the bath pipes like i have always done.. Problem is: When running the hot water,it comes out for 2 mins hot then turns cold. Close tap...

long story short. 4 months ago i did a job fitting a shower cubicle and shower (which required a pump) and a sink. To fit the pump i had to t off the hw cylinder cos it was a tight fit for anything else. customer agreed to this but i also showed them what the previous plumber had done...
