I'm fitting some new rads in the house today and have had the boiler off just to be sure...sadly the job has taken slightly longer due to me running out of copper fittings. cold house tonight then! Is the boiler ok to be turned back on aslong as the room stat is left in the off...

The socket is about 1.5m above the height of the sink (not installed by myself) would it be better to just use a fcu? Not really any different tho is it!? Looking at the circuit again it looks to be a spur off the ring main :shock:

Would this be possible on this type of circuit...basically I wan't to replace a water heater that has been installed by plugging into a 13a socket that has blown up (after about 20 years by the looks of it!) My calculations @ 240v...would be looking at ~12.5 amps, is this ok to use a 13 amp...

Just had a kitchen designed and ordered from homebase...very impressed with the lady doing the design and the final design, came back in with a few modifications that I wanted to make which she acomodated no problem...solid wood doors 10% off because she used a voucher from "10% off thursdays"...

if money is no option go with the VW if not the Seat as its just a cheap VW normally using parts from the earlier Volkswagen vehicles. I personally wouldnt touch the ford unless its the one with the narrow angle v6 engine from the VW... But i'm very very biased! Had a few bad Fords myself!

Can anyone recomend a fixing to use when I install my kitchen in a few weeks, my main concern is the fixings as one of the walls is plasterboard then thermalite blocks and the other is just plasterboard stud wall. Any ideas....especially if pics of the fixing is available would be massivly...

cool thanks chaps. im just a bit unsure about the connection point now for the feeds to the two pendants...dont really wanna do it in the middle of the room, push it into the ceiling and fill up the hole :oops: :cry:

thanks mate, i live in a fairly modern house with the large chip-board type boards, are they easy to get up? The area I need to get up is below doors to three bedrooms crossing each threshold. Now is a good time as we are having new carpet fitted next week :) Oh and yes, luckly the joists...
