    Help laying ceramic floor tiles

Hey Breezer Thanks for the reply. The floor is concrete and after hearing the preperation needed for wooden flooring, I am glad as I would not have bothered if that was the case. I just measured the clearance from the w/machine (7/8") & d/washer (1 2/8") to the underside of the worktop so I...

    Help laying ceramic floor tiles

Im laying ceramic tiles in the kitchen in a couple of weeks time as well, just thought I would follow up on this rather than starting a new post. The floor is concrete and I may be ignorant by thinking there is'nt much to it. I believe the floor needs damp proofing prior to laying, any...

Well your the only one who knows what it looks like now, it may be fine left as it is. Painting over it won't do any harm and there is always wallpaper as a last resort. I would.nt consern yourself too much about the minor detail of instructions.

    Overflow from water tank

When I moved in here I had a similar problem and fixed it by just removing the scale/scum from the moving parts. I also took the oppurtunity (seen as I was up there) to drain the tank totally and give it a right good clean, after all I would be drinking out of it. Just a thought as it's not...

    Hot Tap Outside ?

I already have an outdoor sink although I opted for cold water only. With our old bath taps connected to a washing machine inlet hose which connects to the y piece on the tap. The water come out warm for the first five seconds anyway after the hose has baked in the sun, plenty time to wash the...
