Really alarm? Have I, really? Or do you just enjoy trolling threads? What's the problem here I've came on here asking for advice and your basically asuming I'm lying. Why would I want to waste any ones time including my own? I just want to live a normal peaceful life and expect things to work...

I need legal advice re dodgy land lord + boiler

Yeah never mind the fact a massive crack has appeared in the celing and two big packages have appeared in a loft that I've been in at least 3x a week for the past month. I don't have a before and after photo if that's what your asking. But believe me, he's been in there. Its south east london...

I really don't know how to answer that and don't want to go down that route. However just having kids and a low income doesn't mean your a bad tennant. We all have to start some where in life I'm in my early 20s and just got my foot on the first rung.

Currently we've only got a dark spot indicator although I've ordered an audiable alarm. He also hasn't supplied the certificate, even on me requesting several times.

Thanks. I'd just like to add there's no naivety about it. I don't want a broken boiler, I don't want to feeel as if it might give us carbon monoxide poisoning or something like blowing up. I don't want to feel unsafe in my home or be concerned every time I leave he may enter. I'm sorry but iv...

I need legal advice re dodgy land lord + boiler

Ok let's clear a few things up. At no point did I say I'm not definite, I am. I just can't prove it as he's denying it. I am on a low income we rent privately and get a small amount of housing benefit, what doesn't add up there? Estate agents are reluctant to agree a letting if you earn...

The list we signed was just complete rubbish with no pictures and no mention of the crack

We want to but we have no hard proof. We confronted him and he denied the whole thing saying the crack and packages were always there. Which was complete lies. But its his word against ours

Alarm I hope you read correctly that the land lord entered my property without my consent? I noticed when I went in the loft to hide my sons christmas presents and a crack appeared in the ceiling from two new boxes that the fairies put in there and the loft was ransacked

We spoke to the neighbours who told us the previous tennant had a real hard time getting a new place because this land lord gave her a bad reference saying she was a trouble maker always making a big deal out of small things. Can you believe it?!

Yeah I can understand that but we don't want aa bad reference and I am on a low ish income and my partner is a stay at home mum that's why we had to go private rent in the first place. I just can't settle here and this is just horrible right before xmas

    question on boilers

Just wondering if you guys think its worth reporting this engineer as he's obviously a cowboy. Also does anyone know what we can do now with regards to getting the landlord to send round a proper engineer to fix it
