Texecom Control Timers - How to arm the garage at night?

Hi Europlex What I don't want to do is fill the forum with complete system information. Or information that's not been proven to work on a given system. Personally when I look for a solution to a technical query say on a washing machine or car, I spend ages wading through the rubbish...

Texecom Control Timers - How to arm the garage at night?

I have pm'd you as I am not sure we discussed the last bit and I have a few concerns about it. I have looked at your other post and think we need to through the panel top to bottom on how you want it to work so we can make it complete and robust for you. Glad the time arm output solution...

night time arming - hallway triggering immediately

depends on how you want it to work. You could full set an area and part set another area but it gets messy. If part setting and you want external bells to go off turn on part arm coms in area programming, area options. Omit the zone thats currently in area B, guessing but you have armed...

night time arming - hallway triggering immediately

Area arm suites full arm the areas they are not part arms. This is a little confusing because you press the part button get the arm suites up and then part again to get to the part arms. your hallway detector will be acting as a guard alarm as the system is full set. If you check your...

if no zones are set as type fire, and every time you get a false alarm its coming up as fire. either a zone is set to fire or theres an issue with the equipment? I suggest you activate all your detectors one by one and find out if you get a fire response when the system is unarmed...

Running cables before installing house alarm

Not saying its not useful. but if you cut the cables to a device, when you come to set the system the device will show as being active if its damaged the alarm pair. if the damage has shorted out the power, the aux power supplies all the pirs and all the pirs would show active when the...

Running cables before installing house alarm

the external will go off, but if your windows are good and shut you may not hear the external alarm when your sleeping as it wont be so loud. Don't want you to worry but the only way you are going to know is to test it. the door contact is better than a pir for the entry exit as a rule but...

Running cables before installing house alarm

I wouldn't have a detector in the bathroom. Optical heat sensor is not suitable for the kitchen. (you'll get activations when the dinner gets burnt or you burn your toast). a RR or FT64 should be more suitable, stick with the 4W's. http://www.texe.com/uk/products/range/fire-detectors/...

Running cables before installing house alarm

Resistors is all well and good The panel hes got has 8 zones Hes got more than 8 devices so hes gonna either get a different panel to do it seperatly or double up. Using resistors with more than one device on a zone is okay( max 3 devices when using eol) . If they start with the...

YALE WIRELESS 6300 ALARM PIR ISSUE

agreed it sounds like an entry exit zone. Not familiar with the zone types or functions on this panel. But a delay for external bell going off after triggering a sensor is common on most panels of around 30 seconds. I know there are other panels where you can program delays in bell...

YALE WIRELESS 6300 ALARM PIR ISSUE

if you get a copy of the manual then it my be clearer as to what you can and cant do. I am sure someone thats familiar with the alarm will post something but look for user or installation manual just in case.

How is the line next door connected? BT should be able to advise on the actual costs involved.

YALE WIRELESS 6300 ALARM PIR ISSUE

What zone was it and how was it programed? Sounds like you need to program a part set where the devices you dont want to work are omitted. Not familiar with the alarm so would have to check the manual for engineering or user programmable options.
