Moved in - New Alarm Required.

Thanks secureiam. Yeah. My plan is to test the alarm system before wiring the whole house. EOL is somewhat confusing. The excellent kit I've gone for was recommended by sparky:

Right I've gone for the texecom which sparky recommended (THANKS SPARKY!). I've chosen next day delivery, so hopefully I should get it by thur, allowing me 2 days to read up and test the system before doing the wiring over weekend. If there are any manuals/guides or links you can recommend...

Moved in - New Alarm Required.

Thanks for being so understanding. I forgot to mention that part of my reason to get a quicker answer is because I want to place an order by the end of today, so that by the weekend I have an alarm and since it's bank holiday on Monday, I can start the installation on weekend. If there is an...

Moved in - New Alarm Required.

Really sorry secureiam. It wasn't that I was trying to be awkward as I really do appreciate the help on this forum from everyone. The thing is that I've been recommended 2 alarms and I was going to go with the galaxy g2, however I was waiting for GalaxyGuy's reply to give me info on where he...

Hi Handymanjo. The premier 24 kit price that sparky gave was for only 1 pir, whereas the galaxy g2 has 3 pirs and is still only £175.

Oh no worries. It's just that I want to get this ordered ASAP. What's the next model (IF ANY) above the g2 and does it have any special features? Also what's the price difference between the two models?

Cheers GalaxyGuy. So does the IP module have simcard option too? If not, would I need to go for a higher/better version?

Thanks GalaxyGuy and doggit. I think I'd prefer vibration sensors on the french doors at least. Can I have more than one keypad and can it be wireless? What if I wanted a very loud internal siren? Also which ebay company are you referring to? Can you post a link on here or PM it to me?

Moved in - New Alarm Required.

Both systems seem absolutely great, so thanks for your input guys. But which one:- is easiest to install and setup? would I get the most technical support from as a DIY installer? (When I say support, I mean from the company & forum members on here) has email or text alert systems? Also...

Moved in - New Alarm Required.

Firstly thanks for the list which I think is excellent and affordable too. I hope you don't mind me saying, but your instructions about fuse, spur, pattress etc have just confused me. I have only a basic idea of installing an alarm, but I don't know the stuff you've just described.

Thx sparky. From the above diagram, what items would I need and how much will it cost?

Cheers buddy. It sounds like a great kit. Is there a dummies guide that I could follow? If not, would anyone be willing to help me on here?

Moved in - New Alarm Required.

Hiya, I've just bought a place and it's got no alarm system. I urgently require a wired alarm that I can install myself to cover the whole of ground floor as well as the garage. I have some basic education of installing an alarm, but I'd rather be sceptical and say that I know very little...
