    Paint Runs

    this has happened to me (woe to those who let the mrs loose with a paint brush). luckily i spotted the runs on the skirting board (mainly by the paint on the carpet :shock: ) before they had completely dried so i went over the runs with white spirit to thin the paint and wiped any excess...

    Fence advice please!

    we haven't done this yet but we're going to have a fence about 3 or 4 ft high with the posts an extra 2-3 ft above the fence level and then trail some wire from post to post (like errr.... a wire fence i suppose). we'll use these wires for climbing plants Etc... cuts back on fencing costs...

    That sir, is a top idea... the stove is actually a kind of enamelled purple (don't you just love deco!) but by-eck bigdave i reckon your onto something. might even pop down to *ahem* b&Q at lunchtime to see what goo they do. cheers matey :D

    hmmmmm slimfast :shock: that's why i'm asking - lol it's on the ground floor but we have a cellar underneath (so floorboards) - it rests in a tiled health about 1 1/2 inchs thick (or whatever the regulations were when i put it in). i don't think it needs anything fancy just a little...

    i've used normal paint on internal brickwork. got some el'CheapO white stuff from B&Q to prime the bricks (couple of coats) then some proper thick stuff over that - jobs a good un' as far as i'm concerned - been like that for a year or so and no flaking Etc.... tatar

    we had a quote for our house last year £25 per sq meter for upto 10m sq £20 per sq m for upto 20m sq £15 per sq m for over that they did say the more you need doing the cheaper it gets....(to about 10sq m i think) seemed really expensive to me so i did the 7 walls myself - doesn't look...
