Hot water cutting in / out

Good shout, sounds logical. Might be explained by these modern water saving shower heads. I took the hose off and noticed the inlet hole was quite small so I've drilled it out to 10mm. Will see if that makes any difference (y)

Hot water cutting in / out

Thank you for the suggestions! Nothing untoward on the taps, they feel firm, no movement on the heads. Yes, i've just given it a try now (the water temp on the boiler is set to 60 which seems to be the maximum) When running it went up to 68 then slowly came back down over the space of a...

    Garden Flooding

Thanks for the quick reply. The house rainwater goes into the mains surface water drainage, no issues with that. I am sure you are right about porosity, we are on fairly heavy clay so the water just collects and puddles. When the rain stops it does drain away fairly quickly, but right now the...

    Greenhouse recommendation

Agree with this, i bought an aluminium frame greenhouse a couple of years back and while the frame is still good, the corrugated panels weaken and crack very easily, just lost 4 of mine in the last couple of weeks :(

Hi all, Looking to put a radiator into the bathroom (tower type as it's a narrow wall) being a bungalow the pipes are all in the loft, is it acceptable to have the pipes inlet the top of the radiator rather than the typical bottom entry. To save me having to run pipes down the wall and back up...

Hi all, I have an issue with both the toilet and washing machine where they consume water far too quickly! Best Practice For Sloping Path

Looks like the done thing is to continue the bricks straight and drop the slope on the highest one, extreme example: Not going to be easy to DIY especially using engineering bricks. Maybe I will have to have a step after all

    Best Practice For Sloping Path

Hi All, Planning out a new pathway in my garden to join the patio at the top to the one down the bottom. I've got the basic idea of what I want to achieve, 2 450x450 slabs wide with an edging stone of block paving, much like this but less elaborate ... The patio at the top is higher than...
