Hi all,

Looking to put a radiator into the bathroom (tower type as it's a narrow wall) being a bungalow the pipes are all in the loft, is it acceptable to have the pipes inlet the top of the radiator rather than the typical bottom entry. To save me having to run pipes down the wall and back up again?

Water circulates around a radiator like this:

Hot water rises this side................Cools and falls on this side

If the pipes came in and out at the top, water wouldn't circulate around the radiator and only the very top would get hot, the rest would stay cold.

One of my rads is piped flow at bottom, return opposite top corner, and it works OK. Both pipes drop down from above. You might be OK with that arrangement. But don't tower rads (unlike conventional) have flow and return specified? Might be worth checking with the manufacturer, if the installation instructions don't cover it.

Well I did a towel rail both top - that wasn't a rad though:unsure:
