according to Stelrad specs your radiator is 1195 watts / 4077 BTU. I have a similar problem in my house, it won't really get above 17c also consider how much heat is being lost through draft doors / windows etc and also if your radiators are correctly balanced

yes they were closed. I wonder if it is because there isn't enough radiators on the boiler for the KW output and it is cycling quite fast, every 4-5 mins

i noticed today that my current cylinder is rather big and that much smaller ones are available (900 x 450) if i were to get one of these smaller ones and the top of that was below the bottom of the cold tank, would that matter??
