    Replacing fence on brick wall

Have installed a few fences, so by no means an expert but... If the posts are loose (which they look like they might be) you could just replace and build off them using brackets to support rails? Or use the hole to add your dohickey and add posts but just use the existing hole.

Does anyone know how to remove these kitchen cupboard drawers, I cannot seem to find the latch to get them off, runners? Am probably being dense but don't want to mess something else up.

New drop kerb and new raised driveway can I complete separately for approval?

In the guidance notes Highways ask to see the opinion from planning that what I propose doesn't require planning consent, there is a small fee for this opinion. I don't think they offer it, can't see this anywhere on the website, but I guess it may form part of the application which seems to...

New drop kerb and new raised driveway can I complete separately for approval?

Thanks for your thoughts, yes will be permeable. My local council doesn't seem to offer drop kerbs, from what I can see, would they likely be cheaper than contractors? But wouldn't the sightline splays form part of the work not covered by the drop kerb? Might the inspectors want me to modify...

New drop kerb and new raised driveway can I complete separately for approval?

Many driveway installers, won't build a raised driveway for me so I was wondering, (as it's hard to get decent builders right now) is it possible to get the drop kerb done first then get it approved? OR does the raised driveway itself need to be installed at the same time as the drop kerb so...

Damp joist why and what can I do about it?

UPDATE have now finally checked the cavity in 4 places. It's clear except for poly beads, couldn't get fingers inside so stuck a piece of corrugated card in, no signs of moisture at all ;) So what I can see must be a preserver as some have speculated. Thanks all for your help.

When to get Building Control Inspection done?

Need to replace inspection chamber (the old style in poor repair lid broken). Also, need to run a new line of underground drainage into the same inspection chamber. When should I get the inspection done, before I do anything, at the commencement or on completion of work?

I know you can treat tarmac if its generally in reasonable order, I would google "tarmac repair" and send detailed pics to the manufacturer for their input.

Should I drill out 2 perps above this window?

I notice that most windows like this have gaps above them, the perps are left clear (am assuming) to allow moisture to exit. Should I drill out 2 perps? Or maybe this is risky (I have no idea what's behind it) If so which ones should I look to drill out (perhaps it doesn't matter I don't know)?

    Alternative to scaffolding (self assembly)

Yeah am quite concerned about the time it will take to put up and getting it right, can you still hire the simpler H shaper towers I've seen and scaffold boards?

    Alternative to scaffolding (self assembly)

Still struggling to find a builder who I trust to repoint my house abutment. Am considering completing the work myself wonder what I could rent (self-assembly) that will work, there is a garage roof to overcome. It's a couple of meters away from the corner of the house at the back. I can't...
