Have just repaired my Sky Coaxial Cable.
Currently, the cable is laid either side of carpet grippers to add a void I guess for the wires to sit in.
Previously it was damaged when we shampooed the carpet and the grippers I think punctured the cable.

Some basic questions on sealing holes to the loft area...
Do I need a specific kind of silicone to seal around the plasterboard and exhaust pipe of my combi boiler?
Can you seal around light fittings and the gaps around the extractor fan hole from inside the loft, is this best done with...
I have a problem with airflow in my roof and I want to sort out the issue with condensation in the new valley.
I know I need more loft insulation added in, but I want to get ventilation right while I can.
Am seeing condensation issues in the new front valley. Despite dry ridge fitted and...
I thought as the membrane was breathable condensation couldn't be causing this. I did notice it in the morning then added more on top which stopped the issue (despite heavyish downpour). I imagined that condensation would gather uniformly not in patches (appreciate no images of this it dried...
The roof is 50 years old so thought I could get away with them. Hoping they last another 20 to 30 years they look in OK order to me was planning on just sticking some lead under the failing end tile.
Are you saying I'm crazy and should replace?
Installed Cromar Vent 3 Light membrane in the roof valley area and noticed leaks along plywood installed to support the fibreglass valley in multiple places.
More membrane has been nailed up on top just to prevent water ingress.
The leak seems to have stopped now despite more rain indicating...
I would send the builder the pic, ask them if anyone in the firm is inspecting the works.
Also, ask them what they do to ensure works up to standard?
Keep on driving by and taking pics, if something seems wrong you can show an inspector later on.
I am no expert (see my other posts) but it's obviously not great, have you anyone who can look around the property to check what else they have done?
Regular inspections by qualified individual perhaps may be possible I don't know.
What does the whole wall look like?
I have knee pads and they fall down all the time, they are cheap though so better (longer) straps may be better.
Or if I had thicker legs
If you use often I would go for trousers, depends on how much it bothers you I guess.
2 valleys one which needs to be repaired the other I think I can save.
Am replacing one of the valleys on my roof and plan to repair a cracked tile on the other valley with the best of the tiles I remove from the first.
Is there a way to prolong the life of tile valleys, for example...
Sorry for my ignorance, what's the best board to use to support the tiles at the verge of my roof. Am still considering installing dry verge or bedding tiles in mortar. Current boards are breaking down and seem to soak up water.
My house is 50 years old with Marley Wessex tiles.
Currently, the verges need attention I can either add a dry verge or remove old mortar and bed in. Having done more reading...
Given the age of the roof should I go dry verge or bed in? I know that bedding in will be cheaper on balance and...
Glad to hear it yeah we are fine but covid is effecting supplies, also had to wait 6 weeks for concrete fencing to arrive.
I managed to get some tiles ordered for Monday after working the phones and e-mail .
