Reading the pump spec. I think it must be because the pump is rated to pump at up to 110 C. So they are covering every type of use. Of course you'd never get that in a domestic heating situation.

Thanks. Must say I don't see how the pump could reach much more than the temperature of the water flowing through it. Normally about 40 to 50 C in an underfloor system. The main system pump with 60 C water flowing through it is touchable.

The instructions for my Circulating Pumps Ltd pump on my underfloor system say to use 3x0.75 core cable with rubber insulation rated at 110 C. minimum. All the cable I can find though in the suppliers I've looked at is rated at 85/90 C. Anyone know where I can get higher heat resistant rated...
