    pressurise boiler to 1.5bar, turn it off (power) then far left and far right black isolators quarter turn to isolate the heating circuit. If the pressure doesn't drop over the usual period the leak is on the heating system. If it does it's the boiler.

    If pressure is above 1 bar and it's still registering this fault then it is likely either a faulty water pressure sensor or dirt in the sensor not allowing it to read the correct pressure. Have you tried increasing the pressure to 1.5 bar to see if this activates? I have been to one...

    If it's a British Gas pump then it's probably the Myson type. You could try a Grundfos head but like you say pump is obsolete now

    A picture of the pump would be helpful. British gas used to use myson pumps which had a black plastic nut over the impellor then they changed to a Grundfos pump. Really a standard pump head off a Grundfos 15/60 may fit.

    Check for a blockage in the pipe to the expansion vessel. Did your pressurise the vessel with an open end (i.e drain cock open)

    Various things could fry the full sequence board. If it has fried it may have been advisable to test components and have a look round the boiler for possible issues before putting a new board straight on.

    If there is power into the boiler and to the pcb but there is no display on the user controls then it's PCB which has failed. It is unlikely that the user controls have failed. HE and LE indicate pcb error as does no display. I have repaired more of these than I can remember with this fault...

    10m head height would give you about 1bar. 1m head height would only register about 0.1bar which on a gauge would probably not be visible
