    near misses

Was extending a ringmain. Disconnected the lives and grabbed both to seperate them - zap - my heart missed a few beats! I had just turned off the juice and unknown to me the client had gone to the cellar behind me and saw the mcb down and thought oh I will put it back up! Not happy. Another time...

    IR test

Hi all Would like some advice please. Did an ir test on a ring circuit and results are as followed - P/E = 95 mega ohms, N/E = 95 mega ohms but P/N = 0.00 ohms. The Worst Thing

Getting hit by a car and breaking your leg and loosing 50% of the skin on your foot - that tickles. Or breaking your thumb after someone jumped on it - again made me smile. Or removing a pitchfor from your foot (went all the way through) - not as bad as the others. Or the dentist killing the...

    Life

What is the meaning of life. Why are we here? We start dying from the day we are born (I believe) and when we die people we know mourn us for a period of time and then move on. The world doesn't alter or change - it's like we never were. Yes I am bored!

    Bugger!!!!

Problem solved (kind of) - I am re routing the supply under the kitchen units. When I told her there would still be conduit on the outside of the house, she said thats fine because you cant see it from the road. Apparently if you can see it from the road then it draws attention to her house...

Hi Jonny I am going there tomorrow to have a word with her - I have thought of running a length of conduit under the units - its the only feasible thing to do - she is still going to have conduit on the outside of the house tho! Well will see what she says.

    Mechanical protection

Hi all Can anyone give me their views of the nest product to use for giving cables buried in a wall mechanical protection. I use metal conduit but its a bit of a bit£$ - anything better, easier out there? Thanks
