    Brick Matching

Greetings, I need to match these bricks to brick up a door. Any ideas what they are? The original building they're matching goes back to 1903, the bricks are quite soft you can groove ridge with your fingernail if you do it hard enough. Unfortunately I don't have a loose one to get a proper...

Reading data from Texecom Panels to a external server/service

You can buy the Texecom RM8 relay module and use the relays on that to mirror zones or other functions of the panel (e.g. when armed or in alarm state). These outputs can be used for arduino/pi. I use it myself to incorporate the alarm into my zwave system (not using arduino or pi), so I can...

An update: I removed the screw, turned the impeller (with power off to start with), it didn't seem jammed but the water that dripped out as I did was dirty, once power was applied it whirred away and...

    Replacement heating pump

Thanks for your reply, no haven't tried spinning the impeller. I have had a multimeter on it and confirm that it's receiving power, but aside from slight buzzing there's no sign of life. I'll have to try the impeller spinning, thanks. How do you find out what head the pump is driving? Thanks...

    Texecom Elite - Fire zones

Apologies, it was better spaced out when I typed it! The A & B refer to the terminals on the smoke detector. Here’s the photo of the smoke: here’s the panel: The tamper terminals are linked together with the white wire.

    Leaking Baxi Solo 18 HE

Thanks for your reply. I have opened the combustion chamber and here is a pic of inside (complete with dripping water as can be seen in the middle), I'm guessing this is bad news! So would it be sensible to go down the fixed price repair from Baxi direct do you think?

    Leaking Baxi Solo 18 HE

Hi there, I have a Baxi Solo 18HE, it is leaking water, upon case removal it is dripping from the end of the venturi. Is this likely to be the heat exchanger? It was installed Jan 2012. Just wondering about the fixed price repair from baxi, but would be a waste if it's something simple...
