Gas BBQ - what is patio gas?

So I have just brought my first gas BBQ and while I had 5 mins free I started reading up on what gas I should use. I know the difference between butane and propane and by choice will probably use butane. I think patio gas is a Calor product but there appears to be no actual explanation as to...

    Cordless drill

I have this and they have been great. Yes the 4.0 battery adds some weight but the usage out of them are great. Ive also started picking up the additional One+ tools from America as they are so much cheaper. Impact driver with delivery was less than £40.

    Karcher 432 keeps cycling

My Karcher keeps cycling from the second I turn it on. There is a very small leak (one drop every 2-3 seconds). I have highlighted on the image where the leak is coming from. I took the section above the dotted line apart but couldnt see any damaged o-rings. Anyone have any suggestions or what...

Moving both gas and electricity meter

The red blocks indicate where they both are. One of the reasons I need to move them is because I am moving the door from the side of the house to the front. So initially I am thinking they will go where the blue block is but as i will later be added a porch this may be a problem, so green is the...

Moving both gas and electricity meter

May need to move both of my meters as a result of an extension. Is it a case of separate company for each i.e. national grid and western power, or are there companies that will move both together as I suspect that will be cheaper? I'm based in West Bromwich, West Midlands.

More options will be available with an increased pitch. Because the Redland Regent go low they cost more unfortunately.

    Drawing review

I refurbished the whole house before moving in 18 months ago. I know I will be making changes to the hall area but I was trying to avoid making changes elsewhere which is why I have kept the roof low. But totally understand your point about giving my self more options if I raise it. What I...

    Drawing review

Redland regent is what I'm planning at present. I know there are 1 or 2 other options but I don't think they are suitable on hips. This is also why I have held off adding the skylights as I think that will be asking for trouble. Either way I'm now meeting an architect the end of this week as...

    Drawing review

Did you even read my reply to your last comment. I have no issues hiring a professional. My question is does it need to be an architect? are there other options if I already know the layout, materials etc. I'm not looking for a free service or to bodge some drawings, but if other members...

    Drawing review

And how many times will people wade in with unhelpful comments before reading the original post. At no point have I said I don't want a professional to help. I'm happy to pay a professional, I was asking whether it needed to be an architect as I know the dimensions, layout, materials etc. and...

    Drawing review

The wife wanted a bigger hall way which is why it cuts into the garage. Then where you would typically have the door currently has the gas and electric meter and I don't particularly want to start moving those. I didn't want the hall area to eat up that much of the garage but if I moved the door...

Updated image below with rooms. Long story with the garage part but basically it will be a garage/workshop to begin with for my bike, but will later be made into an office area.

Here is a JPG of the drawing so far. Not sure how I can upload a PDF for better quality. The only thing that may change is an additional window along the side, and potentially 2 skylights. The side of the house we are extending has no neighboring buildings.
