Moving both gas and electricity meter

May need to move both of my meters as a result of an extension.

Is it a case of separate company for each i.e. national grid and western power, or are there companies that will move both together as I suspect that will be cheaper?

I'm based in West Bromwich, West Midlands.

Just move the meters, or move the service intakes as well?

You may find yourself dealing with 4 companies, not two.

Erm...Il post an illustration in the morning but basically they will be moved from the inside of a wall to the outside and about a meter to the side.

The red blocks indicate where they both are. One of the reasons I need to move them is because I am moving the door from the side of the house to the front. So initially I am thinking they will go where the blue block is but as i will later be added a porch this may be a problem, so green is the alternative which will then be inside the garage.

As it appears you are getting the service intakes moved as well as the meters, you will need to contact your gas transporter and electricity DNO to move the intakes, and the meter operator to move the meter. The gas transporter can probably move the gas meter.
