    Double boarding..

Double layering plasterboard, I've read to stagger joints but also some do first layer horizontally and it doesn't matter if some edges overhang as long as the 2nd layer is on the studs and noggins correctly? Any ideas?

Filling gaps around stud frame to brick wall

I've stud walled a door way and theres big gaps round the edge, especially where the old door frame had wooden wedges. can I just use expanding foam? Can foam be cut back and then taped and plastered over by a plasterer? Thanks

If I remove this, will my house fall down?

I'm wanting to stud wall this opening, I don't think it will fall down as I can't imagine the wood is providing any strength? It goes same direction as floor joists upstairs and has a wall above it.

    Stud walling a door opening

I'm filling in an internal doorway, stud frame with plasterboard. It's 204cm tall and 80cm wide. It's 13.5cm - 14cm deep, it varies, I've read I need about 3mm resess for the plasterer to skim. B&Q does C16 Stick timber (T)45mm (W)70mm (L)2400mm, this plus two layers 12.5mm board gives me 12cm...

Decking - would this be diy'able?

I'm wanting to deck this area, I was thinking it would be a freestanding unit and not need fixing down? Is that right? What be the best way to raise it off the floor? Those adjustable pads, timber posts? It slopes towards the house. Thank you for any ideas.

Texecom Ricochet Premier Elite 48 Part Set

I think I found it, I went: Area Options Part Arm Inst - set this 'A...' Part Arm Silent - Set this 'A...' It works but how do I get the entry exit(front door) to set the alarm off when opened in the part Arm state? It gives the normal timer allowance as if it was normally set. ** Edit **...

IMG_2897 by broody posted 3 Feb 2018 at 8:36 AM How would I set the part arm 1 to silently instant arm? I still want the delay when I normally leave the house via the front door...

I'll be setting it on the keypad, not the wintex thingy. Oh right, so the part one will automatically know it's the front and back door i want to arm?
