its an irregular tick, will even tick when every thing has been switched off (like its cooling down) im 99% sure its just expansion and what with the same pipe being cold in the roof and hot in the airing cupbard. just bloody annoying!

sadly dindnt work stilll tick tick tick, i even went up in the roof enlarged the hole and tried to stuff foam between the copper and the ceiling but didnt work sadly, any other suggetion please?? :(

happends all the time when heating on, i tried to make the hole bigger as the 22mm pipe off the pump goes through the ceiling, and cant find thats its rubbing on anything, have sorted one creaking with a big spoung (vibrating) but cant stop this one, will covering the 22mm pipe with foam...

also i have noticed that i bleed the one in the ensuite / it just reappares in one of the bedrooms ?

I have had the problem since moving in 2 and a half years, i had b/g out that came up with the same suggestion as my local plumber (but was just cheaper) to fit an aerjec - of which he did - its seems to have helped a little but we still get a bit of air in this one - resulting in bleeding it...
