Recommend me a DIY burglar system please - Less than £500

I am in the market for a DIY alarm system but unfortunately I know as much about alarm systems as I do about the state of the Latvian Economy. I do know: 6 zones should be enough. Panic alarm Bell Box - preferably not bright yellow though - eg. Yale. Needs to be robust - I hate things...

Project Management help needed please on a house extension

Thanks for all the helpful advice. I agree that it could be quite easy to **** of a good builder by being too book-wise. Don't worry I know when to bite my lip. I guess the real key here is getting a good builder and that is fully what I intend to do. That way I can put my feet up and...

    XP Media Center of Professional

I have been running a Media Centre Edition for four years without issues. It can be 'interesting' to configure if you want it to do 'non-standard' things like play Div-X etc. It is XP Pro WITH the Media Centre software on top which is why you pay more. You may also get a MC remote thrown in...

Project Management help needed please on a house extension

Thanks for everyones advice. My secret weapon in all this is my long suffering Dad who has been a builder all his life and a clerk of works in the last 15. I will use him as a help line and second set of eyes should I need to. I am trying not to bother him too much though as the last...

    Is SWA this expensive???

Cheers Bigspark. I'm suprised you think it's cheap as its Screwfix.com. Somethings are cheap on there but every now and again they throw in a 'gotch'ya'. Just checking it wasnt one of them. :-) Ta. Scotster.

gas combi-boiler doesnt like cold weather!

Cheers Tony. I understand that. I guess my real question is: 'What is most likely to be the failure point based on it being temperature sensitive' Also take into account that after the fourth or fifth button press it runs OK so whatever needs 'warming up' is warming pretty quickly...

gas combi-boiler doesnt like cold weather!

Ill check it out on Monday COG. Im away for the weekend. Why would low pressure be temperature related though? It runs fine during the summer when the ambient temp is high. Thanks for your help so far.

gas combi-boiler doesnt like cold weather!

One light flashing. The radiator one. The flame red indicator light cuts before that starts. So it is the main burner dropping out. You can hear the burner switch off.

gas combi-boiler doesnt like cold weather!

I have a combi gas bolier (worcester 24cdi) which keeps cutting out when supplying hot water or heating. It runs for about a minute or so then there is a slight clunk and it cuts out. I have to reset it using the little red button. I repeat that about eight times. Then it runs fine...
