Good, at least from that picture you don't have to worry about beams, it's just a flood. Would be interested to know how the colors look in the gel as leds don't output a smooth spectrum of light. Also, how does it switch the lamps to make it chase? If dimmed i.e Ramps up and down in a fade...

A problem you may encounter is the focus of the beams. The halogen lamp will usually be a very small point source whereas a LED equivalent may be much larger so the lenses won't focus as well for creating beams.

I think they if you have a criminal record then you are off the list of jury duty. Just saying...

Probably easier to get an inline socket and make an adapter to bare ends rather than muck about with the rubbish wires you usually get in those power supplies.

First thing I would do is plug a set of headphones into the headphone socket to monitor the actual sound the mic is producing to see where the problem lies.

There shouldn't be anything exposed there. No problem with being safe but nothing should be exposed outside of the terminal block.

I do wonder when the OP will post a question about if it is best to dial 999 from a landline or mobile? And if mobile what the best operator is for emergency calls.....

Not just disabled? You can usually disable them. May be a switch or function key.
