    The water level should be about half way, but try pushing the ballvalve down to see if its stuck.

    baco is right what he is saying, but the cold pressure on the gauge would normally be set around 1 or 1.5 bar.You can check the correct pressure in your maufactures hand out. :wink: :wink:

    It sounds like your bathroom rads are teed off the heating primerys, which means they will heat up every time the hot water calls for heat,that is why the radiator valves were balanced down. :wink: :wink:

    Why do you think you need a new heat exchanger, is it cracked and leaking? Have you tried flushing the system out with a flushing machine and chemicals.

    Read the manual with the pump, and you will see minimum dimensions to install below the storage tank.You might find that you have to raise the tank,or even buy a negative head pump. :wink: :wink:

    Sounds like the pump to me. Could check the boiler thermostat and see if the boiler turns off when you lower the temp :wink: :wink:
