Hi If every rad in a house has been removed and the pipes have been blocked off with end stops where the valves would have been how do you test which is the feed and which is the return pipe at each rad. The boiler is working fine. Thanks

Just to clear things up then:- DAVID & JULIE - i left work at 10 pm on moday so they were closed then and on tuesday i rang them as soon as i got home from work at 3.30pm FREDDIE - i ordered 156 ft. i received 138 ft of which 2 ft was cracked which means they owe me 20 ft!!

a lot of unecessary questions here :? :roll: i will go and sort it out tomorrow with them!

i ordered 156ft as the guy told me we have got 12ft lengths in stock so i though 13x12ft lengths=156 foot which would cover what i need and allow for shortages due to unsuitable pieces. they actually delivered various size lengths of 11,12,13,14 & 15 foot!!

as the delivery driver dropped each piece by the front door my missus took them inside so they know 100% for sure it wasn't left outside

i paid for £156 foot and that is what i expected to receive. I didn't ask for free delivery, they do it free for every customer. IF there had been a deliery note my wife would have signed it unchecked as she always does when i have pc stuff etc delivered! I don't think i'm in the wrong...

there was no delivery note mate. as they put each piece by the front door my wife carried it inside. the place i got it from is an old skool independent builders merchant ie. no computer system etc!

Thanks all :) one final question then. if i use white primer and i am going to use white paint for the topcoat do i still need to use undercoat or will 2 layers of topcoat be ok? cheers

Hi a bit of a newbie question here :oops: what is the difference between undercoat and primer?? i have got a bare pine door to paint so want to know if the first coat should be undercoat or primer....or do they both do the same job? Thanks
