Square Downspout into 100mm internal clay underground pipe.

Looking at the DC1 fitting, there will be about 70mm sticking out above my 100mm pipe before I've got the hopper in place. Like you said it won't look good. Looks like the Screwfix adapter is the only alternative, but that's still 110mm dia, so unsure if it would fit easily?

Square Downspout into 100mm internal clay underground pipe.

Thank you. I have been around 3 local builders/plumbing merchants including Travis Perkins this morning but they were clueless. If really like to fit the drain type in the photo, but may have to go with the Screwfix adapter you linked. Thank you

Square Downspout into 100mm internal clay underground pipe.

Hi, I've just swept cracked concrete away from around downspout at side of house, and it came away in a few lumps. Pushed around the side of the downspout was plastic bags and someone just cemented on top of the plastic around the downspout. I'm trying to locate a 100mm grid drain that will...

Just been on to WB to check whats included in their fixed price repair, but they have recently stopped doing it due to backlog with covid. Anyone got a rough price for the cost of diverter valve replacement please? Priced up a new boiler on Boxt but because she lives in a bungalow and flue...

    Worcester CDi 24 combi

Wow there's not a lot left there. I'll ring her later and ask what she wants doing. Just looked at Worcester fixed price repair and it's from £298 hopefully that would cover what's wrong. Similar new boiler prices £1000 ish plus fitting whatever that cost would be. Hmmm decisions decisions...

    Worcester CDi 24 combi

Thank you. That does seem to be the case, but reading about the challenge/cost of changing the diverter valve, coupled with the pressure valve problem and why there was no water when releasing the drain valve, would it be better to get a fixed cost Worcester repair or just a local engineer?

There was definitely a sound of water flowing when I turned the filling knob on. Thanks.

Mother in law called me saying when running the hot water tap/shower the radiators were heating up. Got there and pressure gauge reading zero so tried topping it up but reading didn't move. looked online as saw the end gets blocked and a video on how to remove/clean. I undone the white plastic...

Paint not going on the same colour.

I did suggest painting it black but it didn't go down too well with the wife:whistle:. That ultra Matt looks interesting but at £68+ for 10ltr is a bit excessive especially when according to instruction it may only take 1 coat. Also no guarantee it would work for my situation. Thank you for info.

Paint not going on the same colour.

Finally had someone come round yesterday from the company who fitted the roof. He said it was light refraction, caused mainly by the exposed brickwork on the walls and the brown frames. He shone a light across the painted roof and to be fair it lightened the colour of the section so it could be...

Paint not going on the same colour.

Yes that was what the plasterer said, "allow 2 to 3 days to dry and as long as it looks consistent pink colour all over you can paint 50/50 mist coat". It was ventilated well, can't remember exactly what the weather was like. If it was all over, or patchy I could understand, but it's only the...

Paint not going on the same colour.

Could well be. I left it 3 days after plastering and until it had dried out and pink coloured as per plasterers instructions. Just funny how is only that one section and not patches here and there. Do you think it will go same colour as other sections if it is indeed not dried yet, or should it...

Paint not going on the same colour.

Thanks. Hopefully that's it. But the other 2 sections painted at the same time dried out perfectly by the following day. This problem section had been drying now 2 weeks. But as someone else replied I'll wait it out and fingers crossed or I'm stuffed.

Paint not going on the same colour.

Not shaded side no. Its a complete solid roof system, 1 very thick grey slab of it initially, then 60mm foil backed insulation before plaster board went on. Ventilated by 4 opening windows. Nothing to cause any damp no. Funny it's only in the 1 section when the other 2 sections joined to it...

Paint not going on the same colour.

Hi, the majority of the painting was done 2 weeks ago after leaving plaster to dry. Admittedly it's been cold and damp weather almost ever since so maybe you're on to something, so I'll wait a while longer. Thank you

Hi, it's exactly the same. Does look like a shadow but definately not. It's hard to focus taking a picture too close

I've even tried colouring over a small section with some magnolia paint I had, then over painted with white and it's still exactly the same.
