    When system is cold turn on hot tap & feel 22mm pipes on lhs of boiler if they get hot your diverter valve is passing. Make sure you get the correct cartridge ie honeywell (which fits a lot of boilers) if it is a red actuator you will need the unique ideal cartridge (VF)

    First of all do you need one? Best check is to remove a small radiator & empty water into a bucket (not a black one) if water is clean you generally don't need a flush

    Call an engineer asap & don't use until he has called as a common fault on this is the flue gasket being displaced which normally makes that kind of noise also get him to check insulation panels & fit earth pin kit

    The icos ain't a combi if you have a 3 port valve it is most likely that the end switch has failed so new valve reqd (or head if possible)

    Phone ravenheat & ask for a dry pocket thermister (they are available) just connect wires & clip onto pipe between u/s thermister & o/h stat also change dhw thermister in usual way

    As i previously posted you need to turn on dhw on clock & turn up cyl stat so you have a demand for hot water

    Probably your motor in valve upstairs in airing cupboard.With a flamingo 50 you will most likely have a y-plan valve so as a temp measure turn on dhw turn cyl stat higher & lock valve to open position (small lever on side of valve) until motor replaced.Otherwise it could be relay on clock or...
