Squeaky chipboard and "Squeak No More"

Alternatively replacing the entire floor would cost £80 ish quid. With these Loft Panels Pack of 3. This would also stop the squeaking issue with the floor. These any good, and is it worth the hassle?

    Under carpet cabling

Replacing the entire floor would cost £80 ish quid. With these Loft Panels Pack of 3. This would also stop the squeaking issue with the floor. I would like to create a kind of cavity to run cables often. Ideally I want an ethernet cable as well run under the carpet/floor. You think its...

Squeaky chipboard and "Squeak No More"

We have done a loft conversion and there is chipboard on the floor. This chipboard has been bare and has been walked on for over 4 months. Consequently it has squeaks in it and was considering replacing the whole thing but at as a absolute last resort. The problem is that the squeaks are at...

    Under carpet cabling

Yeah but inbetween the underlay! So will be flush with the underlay and some tape should not cause any lines. Problem with the chipboard is the skirting is on and its tongue and groove so it will require the entire room to be uprooted.

    Under carpet cabling

I know ideally it would be under the floor. But it has to run down the length of the room, through the middle. I would need a silly length of optical/hdmi cable to run around my room, over 15m i'd say to go around the edges. Thats why i'll put it between the underlay so hopefully with...

    Under carpet cabling

I plan on running some cable under the carpet in my bedroom. The carpet is yet to be laid and the floor is chipboard in the attic. So theres no option to run under the floor since the chipboard has been already laid down. Can I run a flat 5m HDMI and a very thin 5m optical cable under my...

    Extending electric cable

The technique to create notches in the plasterboard is going to be very messy and tricky, as I dont know whether the cable has been tacked to the wall beams etc etc. Any one else have an idea of how to get the cable to the otherside?

    Recently installed double glazing gaps..

Trim, doesnt really have much existing sealant if thats what you mean by trim. Not sure if its worth calling the installer, they'll take forever to come and its not worth it. So I'll just use some decorating sealant...? Or should I go to Anglian?

    Recently installed double glazing gaps..

In the other room is definitely worse, you can see cracks around the whole frame causing the room's temperature to be like it is outside (its an empty room atm). The installation was about 7 months ago, how likely is it the company who installed it will come and resolve these issues?

    Recently installed double glazing gaps..

Sorry not just yet, but Anglian installed the windows, in two rooms there are gaps all the way around the window frame and leaks lot of air and in another room the double glazed door to the balcony is whistling :/ Back to the window frame in the original question, the gaps are internal, so...

    Recently installed double glazing gaps..

So I believe my question was simple. I'll be more precise. Is it acceptable to use decorators caulk to fill 1 and 2mm cracks/gaps opened up around the double glazed window frame?

    Recently installed double glazing gaps..

So the double glazing that was recently installed has some gaps around the frames and the wall. Whats the best thing to use to fill these cracks?

    Extending electric cable

Its an alarm sensor (also put in wrong place). Thats a question for another thread, what to do about putting it right in the corner :? Ah, sorry had to make to spell it out, but that makes alot of sense. I think I will do that. Nice idea! Haha thanks for the info, you've convinced me the...
