Socket stopping dishwasher being pushed back, advice please

Hi, Removed old integrated dishwasher today (fitted with kitchen) and found that the backing had melted onto the plug, see pics attached. The old dishwasher never sat 100% flush and now I know why, the plug socket plus plug does not leave enough space for the dishwasher to be pushed back...

Sealing shower cubicle where tiling upstand is not recessed?

I sympathise....I had a Coram alcove shower tray, it used to bend like a banana when someone stood in it. Have a look underneath when someone is showering (I know, I know) to see where the leak is actually coming from. 2mm is a pretty big gap to plug....if it were me personally i'd rip it out...

Sealant doesn't seem to be sealing.

I guess because if you dont any new silicone will only be stuck to the old silicone which is coming away anyway and not to the plastic. Try and remove as much as you can for the best seal.

Sealant doesn't seem to be sealing.

I've used that Unibond stuff in the past and it didn't work well sealing my bath, same problem wouldn't stick. I have since always used Dow Corning 785, I swear by the stuff.

Get some bigger white plastic caps to go with the bigger screws? Have you drilled the holes into the wall frames too big? or were the holes pre-drilled?

    Zafira A EGR Valve Problem

Thanks for both the replies. Car is back into garage next week for service so am getting them to look at EGR valve again. Seems to be an achilles heal on these cars....car gets 95% of its used around town at 30 mph so maybe this is actually exasperating the situation....if it did longer runs...

    Zafira A EGR Valve Problem

Hi, Vauxhall Zafira A 2004 2.0DTi Y20DTH engine. Anyone know if the EGR valves are electronic on this engine i.e. what opens and closes them? Mine is same as attached pic and does have a multiplug going into it. Do they open gradually as engine revs increase or are they just...

Bristan Calico Bar Mixer Shower Non-Return Valves where ?

well I stripped down the valve yesterday and could not see any non-return valve...and when I reassembled and tested the shower did not seem to be passing cold water into the hot circuit any more but the shower itself just doesn't get hot enough even on the highest setting...I even put the water...

Bristan Calico Bar Mixer Shower Non-Return Valves where ?

Hi, I thought I originally had a boiler problem but turned out my Bristan Calico bar mixer shower valve is passing cold water into the hot water circuit. I phoned Bristan to ask about this and the guy on customer support told me that the non-return valve on the hot side of the mixer must...
