Tony noticed that also on these boilers, probably due to the position of the fan being directly above unlike many which sit to the side slightly.. fan replacement quite common.. weve not been replacing the broken/ brittle propellors purely for the reason every 1 is so brittle and broken...

deffo sounds most likely the heat exchanger !! if you shut off the cold supply to the boiler and it doesnt rise when the boiler is idle but rises when idle and cold supply open this is your fault.

It sounds to me this is the powerflush fee from someone like BG !!! and its actually sludged due to no previous inhibiter fitted etc !!

I use the sentinel one for my company and it aint restricted to sentinel chemicals !

Tony yes it was at the isloation valve at the boiler inlet.. When he also adjusted the mains stopcock to reduce incoming pressure the rise in pressure slowed down and vice versa ! what other causes can there be ??

Guy's .. quick one for you's.. Mate called tonight at a Baxi 80e combi.. hes an engineer but works on Meter installs so not into FF... PRESSURE WAS RISING... Usual checks of exp vessel done, called me back saying pressure was rising when system not running, advised to check filling loop...

would agree its most likely the pcb cost abput £80 if it is... could also be the pump has blown the pcb fuse and only a pump replacement required.. first thing I would have looked at is the fuse then pump and also the pcb for the above mentioned...

if you really dont know what a zone valve is m8, call a plumber / heating engineer. or better still get someone from here to sort it for you if any one is local to you. what kind of boiler do you have (make/model) incase its a divertor valve problem and not actually a zone valve !...
