Help me identify my DPC please

Hi all, Could you please help me find my DPC from these two pictures? I can see a little bit of plastic membrane jutting out in one of the photos but I also want to be 100% certain. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Is this timber pressure treated?

Thanks, in my case I'm only referring to the joists as they seem to be untreated. The boards are bangkirai which has excellent wet and rot resistance capabilities

    Is this timber pressure treated?

In my case it sits under hardwood deck boards that have 5mm gap, so very little exposure to the joists and absolutely no contact with the ground or organic material as the joists sit on pavers that were then covered with plastic membrane to sit between the joist and paver. I'm wondering though...

    Is this timber pressure treated?

Hi, my builder has used this timber for the floating deck frame that sits on paving stones (no prolonged ground contact). However I couldn't see any treatment markings and I'm having doubts now. Can anyone advise please?

    Staining moist UC3 Timber

Hi, I'm having a pergola built from UC3 tanalised timber, but the moisture reading is coming up at 20% and I wanted to stain it before getting it installed. I've spoken to Cuprinol and Sika (Blackjack Bitumen Paint) and both have said not to paint whilst the wood is moist. The issue i have...

Could I use this to prevent backflow in a rubber hose?

Hi, I have a water softener that recently backflowed from the dishwasher and into the salt chamber via the rubber overflow hose which plumbs into the kitchen waste pipe. I don't want to replace the waste connections as it's very tight under the sink and the easier option would be for me to fit...

    Water Softener backflow issue

Hi, I recently had a new water softener (BWT brand) fitted as part of a new kitchen. It's been working fine but I recently noticed the salt reservoir had very nasty and oily residue floating around it (looked like vomit at first) which could have come from the dishwasher or kitchen sink. I had...

    AEG Hob asking for h03v2v2-f

Here's a photo to hopefully clarify what I'm describing. There are draws that slide into this space with a small clearance.

Thank you, I'll have another go. For today, would the mf junction box be acceptable?

    AEG Hob asking for h03v2v2-f

I did exactly that for the oven (similar rating, also on its own circuit). However where we had planned to place the DP switch for the connection, is no longer accessible and the only space I have is behind the draws under the hob but the back of the unit is that flimsy stuff so I'm nervous...

    AEG Hob asking for h03v2v2-f

Many thanks for the input. The supply cable comes behind the hob, so the two cables are very close to each other but there isn't enough space to mount a pattress box with a DP switch, so I'm looking to use an MF junction box like a Hager 32A Maintenance Free 3 Terminal Junction Box J803 and...

RCBO tripping, no load attached to it

Turns out the plasterer screwed through the cable when he was dry lining the wall and because it was already off at the CU it didn't trip then. Only when I reconnected it all did it trip. Replacing the damaged cable sorted the problem.

    AEG Hob asking for h03v2v2-f

Hi all, After having my kitchen fitted the DP switch is now in a very awkward and hard to access place and very soon I'll never be able to access it. Therefore, I'm wondering if it's possible to connect the hob to the supply using a junction box because I have very limited options to place a...

Can you help me find this hose?

Hi all, I need another one of these for my kitchen tap. What I've found in screwfix and toolstation are the compression fit connectors but my pipework terminates in isolating valves and I don't gave space to add another bit of copper pipe to then add a compression fit with olive and would...

Quartz Counter too thick for Kitchen Tap fittinh

Hi, I recently had a quartz counter top fitted which is 20mm thick and the cut out is perfectly placed and sized however the screw in fitting that came with my tap (see photo) isn't long enough and doesn't come through the hole far enough to reach the thread on the tap. Could anyone recommend...
