Kitchen Project :: Finished! (well nearly)

Tell me about it. I'm actually considering returning it. Although my plumber friend has suggested connecting the inlet / outlet to top / bottom to see if it will improve the circulation. Can you suggest a similar looking rad with good output?

Kitchen Project :: Finished! (well nearly)

Those LED plinth lights are actually decking lights from B&Q. They come 10 in a box however you can run 20 from one transformer. The strange thing was the B&Q plinth lights where EXACTLY the same as the decking lights albeit in a different box. HOWEVER. The plinth lights were something...

Kitchen Project :: Finished! (well nearly)

The wiring is fine. I've got it all running back to a bit of bell wire which I just pushed into the holes of a socket in the cupboard upstairs. Just to be sure it was well earthed I wrapped the earth wire round the speed-fit under the sink. Well it is connected to the copper....

Sealing an old copper waiste pipe

Hi Chris Thanks for that, Theres not a lot of pipe there it comes out 30mm before bending slightly and this bend continues to where its been hacked off. I like the idea of the fernco coupling. My other option was putting an end cap over it filled with silicone, this would then act as a...

Post size and depth for gate

Hi there My dad wants to replace an old gate, which is no longer there. The gate is the 5 bar wooden type, at a span of 9' and about 4' - 4'.6" feet high. Im thinking that a 6" x 6" post buried to a depth of 2' in concrete would be sufficient?

    Floor tiling help

Hi All Can someone confirm that when laying floor tiles on underfloor heating mats, you first put down a layer of flexi adhesive onto the mat, wait for this to dry and then do another layer for the tile. i.e. you can't do it all at once?

Had a couple of days off from the kitchen before getting back into it. Had some sad new this week. One of my much loved cats passed away on Sunday night which was a shock and not what you want when you move into a new home. Hoping to get some more done tomorrow before the kick off! Anyway...

There is wood burried in the concrete where the walls used to be, I did wonder if the concrete thats there is superficial. I'll get my drill out tomorrow and do some investigating.
