How to wall mount a socket strip

A relative wants this 3-way socket adapter mounted on the wall, but as you can see there are no mounting holes on the back. Any ideas how to do this? Doesn’t want adhesive etc to be used.

Can I use heat from light bulbs for a very small toilet.

    I thought as much.

Can I use heat from light bulbs for a very small toilet.

Why not buy one of the heater bulbs I sent you the link to earlier and see how you get on? As for it being “regs” that the fan must be connected to the light, I find that surprising. The number of houses I’ve been to where the fan and the light are on two separate circuits, independently operated.

Jam Jar? You were lucky. We’d have loved a jam jar. We had to hold the thing in our bare hands. And if the wax burnt us we daren’t complain!

My dad's mother used to use something like this: https://amzn.eu/d/6QiLBA2 Although as @lostinthelight said it takes energy to produce heat. That bulb I showed you is 250 watt. Will use 1 unit of electricity every 4 hours or so. Probably not the cheapest way to heat a small room if left on all day.

I was painting the radiator in the bathroom at my mum and dad’s house. I wasn’t yet back to university so I was still staying with them and my dad had asked me would I do it, so I did. I was sitting working away when he came bursting into the bathroom and told me to come and watch the news ASAP...

Tragic - outcome might be interesting

Ok, just to answer a couple of questions here - the cabinet my colleague was working on was basically a computer in a metal box that could screw onto a wall. While it would have been the case, as has been suggested, that there would not have been more than 12v across any of the components, my...

Tragic - outcome might be interesting

Yes indeed. In fact part of the reason why my colleague and I took the p155 out of him was because he genuinely couldn’t see what he’d done wrong. In fact, when I for speaking to my other colleague later I said to her about how lucky he’d been, she scoffed and said “Lucky??? He’s a f*cking idiot...

Tragic - outcome might be interesting

To answer your questions: He was not unaware of the risks. The equipment was not poorly designed. He was changing some component or other (possibly a hard disk) that SHOULD have been changed with power off. He was just too lazy to power off the equipment, change the component and then power...

Tragic - outcome might be interesting

Just jumping on the “unsafe electrics” bandwagon: Had a colleague who was nearly killed not because of dodgy electrics but because of dodgy practices on his part. He was a technician in a meat factory, and was working on a terminal - basically a complete computer inside a big metal box with a...

    Do you agree?

I once knew someone who got offended by everything. Believe it or not he got offended because I wasn’t offended by something he found offensive. I don’t understand that logic. My philosophy on life is that if you go through life looking for something to be offended about you will never be...

    Do you agree?

If someone doesn’t like confrontation then they’re not fit to be a manager. EDIT: should say “If someone actively AVOIDS confrontation even if it’s a requirement of their job because they don’t like confrontation, then they’re not fit to be a manager.” Would you agree?

Why do the Swedish Navy paint barcodes on the side of their ships?

So that when they enter port they can Scan the Navy In! (Heard that one from a student of mine this afternoon!)
