A relative wants this 3-way socket adapter mounted on the wall, but as you can see there are no mounting holes on the back.

Any ideas how to do this? Doesn’t want adhesive etc to be used.

Maybe stick the socket onto a piece of 6mm ply ever so slightly longer - and fix that to the wall?
Those are tri wing screws....don't see them very often!

Adhesive onto a backing board and board screwed to wall?
Would it stick firmly to a backing board though? Wouldn’t want it to come off when things were plugged in or unplugged!

Ugly but functional: make a couple of metal-strip mounting brackets to go over the ends of the unit?

If you use the double sided foam tape that's used to fix car number plates on, it's there for a good long while!
Almost free at motor factors.

I dunno, maybe, guess it depends if the user is regularly pulling out /inserting plugs and how stiff the plugs are being pulled out.

The best ones for wall mounting are the duraplug ones ie also available in white by the way

1694933051524.pngthey have 4 mounting holes that are accessed from the front so no trying to get two screw heads just the right distance apart and just the right distance out from the wall. Often found at car boot sales
