    Cable for outdoor floodlights?

Hi everyone, Last night when I went outside I switched on the outdoor LED floodlights (which were already installed when we moved in) and noticed they had both stopped working (one has a nasty looking burn mark on one of the LEDs). I plan to replace them, but I was having a look at the wiring...

    Canon mx725 not printing....

We actually have two lasers - a Ricoh monochrome all in one printer and Brother colour printer. In the 7 years we’ve had the Ricoh, it’s only on its third toner cartridge and the Brother has never had new cartridges in the two years we’ve had it.

    Canon mx725 not printing....

Well hopefully if your laser printer is decent enough you’ll get plenty of use out of it before you need to replace any innards! And I definitely agree with your opinion that printers are a rip off market! As my dad would say “they see us coming”!

    Canon mx725 not printing....

Somewhat off topic but I stopped buying inkjet years ago. I switched over to a laser printer. Yes it cost more to buy, but I’m now in a situation where instead of buying ink once every month or so I now buy toner only once every 18 months. Truth is inkjet printers are a total rip off, and if...

    What the actual f*** ?!?

I think the moderators are referring to a reply I wrote which hinted that there would be violence towards this type of prisoner if they were put in with regular prisoners. It was removed, but somehow the removal notice got mixed in with your post.

Garage Sockets for Tumble Dryer and Washing Machine

Thanks. I don’t think I’m necessarily expecting a cold plug, really I’d just like to be sure I can run washing machine and tumble dryer at the same time safely, and I don’t think I’ll achieve that with a double socket.

Garage Sockets for Tumble Dryer and Washing Machine

Thanks for this information. Regarding the garage CU, it’s fed from a 32A MCB in the house CU. Not sure how “correct” that setup is.

Garage Sockets for Tumble Dryer and Washing Machine

Thank you. I think I will change the double socket then as I’d rather keep washing machine and dryer next to each other.

Garage Sockets for Tumble Dryer and Washing Machine

I was thinking that might be a good option. Either that or a 13A fused connection unit for each appliance.

Garage Sockets for Tumble Dryer and Washing Machine

That’s also possible! In fairness I never bothered to check plug temperature at our old house because it was plugged in behind a microwave.

Garage Sockets for Tumble Dryer and Washing Machine

Well that would explain why changing the plug stopped the overheating issue. The plug was moulded to the flex. Perhaps it got damaged in the move!

Garage Sockets for Tumble Dryer and Washing Machine

Hi everyone, The previous owner of our new house had the garage plumbed for a washing machine, which frees up space in the kitchen. We have a washer dryer connected in there, and plugged into a double socket A condenser tumble dryer sits beside it and is plugged into the same double socket...
