    Flat roof puddles...should I worry?

Thank you for your answers. I am inclined to leave the deck etc undisturbed if at all possible. I have got a quote from a company to supply and fit the membrane with a 25 year insurance backed warranty. However, in the quote, it says "We accept no responsibility for any standing water once...

    Flat roof puddles...should I worry?

Ah yes, but methinks, when the new felt is installed, it will puddle in the same way. My question is, if there were to be a puddle, will that reduce the life of the new covering? Is the felt able to withstand a small amount of puddling? It has been puddling since installation.

    Flat roof puddles...should I worry?

I have looked at several forums here to find out if puddles on my flat roof are anything to worry about, without conclusion. What I want to know is, if you have a puddle on a flat roof, is it detrimental to the roof in any way? Does it shorten the life of the flat roof? Thanks in advance for...

Britony 2T water heater heat exchanger leaking.

The heat exchanger has developed a leak at a soldered joint. Is it possible to plug this leak externally? If not, is it possible to have the joint resoldered? Perhaps have a welded repair? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Immersion heater replacement in unvented system

Thank you for your comments. I found out a bit more aout the pressure/expansion vessel. Inside the presssure vessel, is a pressurised bladder ( a bit like football inner tubes), which stays inflated, so there is no problem, so long as that is functioning ( and one should check the pressure in it...

Immersion heater replacement in unvented system

Decided in the end not to do this myself. However, if I had the correct part I would have. Just for the record, the immersion heater on this, and I believe most other unvented cylinders, has to be different from the usual immersions you can buy from stores like B and Q etc. I think it has to be...

Immersion heater replacement in unvented system

I am going to tackle this job tomorrow. Have read many posts here for replacing the element, and am reasonably confident of successfully removing the element and installing new one. Only want to be certain that there are no untoward issues with draining of the system and refilling, because of it...
