Large LED Downlighters - My Extension Lighting

So would the reason to go for them be that the bulb is replaceable? Over an LED version like your photo.

Large LED Downlighters - My Extension Lighting

Those pl ones look a little old school. http://www.ledbulbcentre.co.uk/collections/led-downlight/products/24-watt-led-round-downlight-panel-light found these ones but just waiting on a few more details on them but seem ok, 300mm wide! possibly too big, they do a 18w unit which is a bit smaller...

Large LED Downlighters - My Extension Lighting

How bigs your................kitchen? Will give me a little idea about lumens per m sq. Yeah I've seen a couple of strip lights i'm interested in, ones 1400 lumen/14w p/m and another is 2600 lumen/28w p/m, latter seeming a bit overkill, I need a 6m run...

Large LED Downlighters - My Extension Lighting

There is a skylight but not in the kitchen part, does have two windows though. Blimey, deffo will make me consider them, but I've not come across any large fittings with swappable bulbs, I know you can get wide beam bulbs but I'm really not a fan of the small, lots of, fittings.

Large LED Downlighters - My Extension Lighting

Mines a warm flat roof so I won't have that problem :) That good hey? 3.5m x 4m, Think four of either make in there would be suitable? 7000ish lumens. My only concern with both of these is you can't replace individual bulbs, well I don't think so, 35000 hour rating but can you trust it :D...

Large LED Downlighters - My Extension Lighting

1750 lumens going off other sites selling them. Apart from a bit messy whats wrong with the driver being non integrated? Not sure on dimmable for the kitchen yet, does allow for flexibility .

Large LED Downlighters - My Extension Lighting

Hello there, I'm after downlighters for my kitchen but I'd quite like large ones and few of them so there isn't one wherever I look. I've seen these http://www.ledhut.co.uk/spot-lights/ceiling-lights/25-watt-ceiling-light-ip54-rating-dust-and-splashproof.html which are nice a big, good defused...

Flatroof Joist Opening for Roof Windows

Finally got answers from building control. Having the joists at 500mm centres for the skylight is fine they said, just extra noggins at each end of skylight. Ok to proceed :)

Flatroof Joist Opening for Roof Windows

with two sets of noggins its really solid(was quite surprised actually once it was complete), first deck is on and it feels fine, not bouncy/wobbly etc. Just need to undo some of the work to create the opening. I think two each side should be fine but waiting on BC who are being painfully slow.

Flatroof Joist Opening for Roof Windows

Hi, I have 225 x 75 joists, 5.8m span. I wasn't planning on any roof windows but after getting the first deck on it is rather dark and when some changes are made to exisiting house the existing livingroom will get a bit darker so I'm planning a roof window in new extension towards livingroom...

    Warm Flat Roof Noggins

Yeah solid timber joists. I'm going to order enough for two rows as I have to ring them soon then I can either do two rows at sheet ends or two evens rows an even distance from each end.

    Warm Flat Roof Noggins

Gotcha!!! Nice one. Presume noggins could be c16 rather than c24 to save some £££? Better be getting me some more joists to cut up then.

    Warm Flat Roof Noggins

Hi, Finding different opinions online.....5.8m span, 400mm centres. Do I need noggins or is the 18mm deck doing this job? and at any points where deck doesn't finish on a joist put a noggin there. Or do I need two rows of noggins, two meters apart and two meters from each wall plate (roughly)...

    Flat Roof Fixing

Seems to be 8.6 fixings p/m2, 400mm spacing along the joist, that's for 400mm centred joists. http://surecps-group.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/pdf/big_twist.pdf handy guide.

    Flat Roof Fixing

http://www.insulationexpress.co.uk/Accessories/BIG-TWIST-Fixings.htm These are in the pitched roof section but i'm sure they are what I need and about £60 cheaper than I've found elsewhere........agree?

    Flat Roof Fixing

Hmmmm I wouldn't want any dips leading to pooling. Ok I'll use the 18mm as deck (vapour layer below it) and 9mm over insulation. That's going to be a lot of fixings then, better get a 400 pack. 170mm fixings will give me about 43mm depth into wood, ok or go for 195mm fixings? and is this...
