    Picture of the weekend....

As Click Sure says it's very common and only found when a kitchen is changed (10 years or so) or if there is a fault. Unfortunately the protagonist is long gone by then.

    Yellow sockets

My god those things are dreadful. They look like a load of runner up plaques and horse brasses nailed to lumps of wood!

    Yellow sockets

Never heard of them. With a name like that I would have expected them to make helicopters :D

    Help with a lighting fixture

I'm sorry I've only got the one or I would send one to you. I've had mine about 15 years and haven't seen another. Seems like they are rare as rocking horse ****e, can't find any on the interweb. Surprised you cannot open it with pliers mind. Good luck.

    Question about emergency lighting circuits

Nothing wrong with a circuit set up like this. 314.4 does not apply, they are part of the same circuit. Get another tester.

    Help with a lighting fixture

This is the tool to open the fitting. The key usually comes with the light, not sure if you can get one seperately. The good news is that the screws can be undone quite easily with a pair of long nose pliers and a bit of patience

    Are these the oldest rcbos?

I hated the terminals on those things  and you had to fit your own neutral flylead if i'm not mistaken.

    3phase lighting and shared neutral

To the OP, just a thought. Could you not replace the three 20A mcbs with three single module contactors and three switches to control them? This would mean downrating the TP breaker in the DB but would give a single point of isolation and solve the functional switching problem.

    Are these the oldest rcbos?

Found some of these while doing a PIR. Does anyone know if they are the oldest rcbos? They seem to have been fitted in the early 70s.and take up two and a half ways in the board. The only ones I can think of that are near that old are the square d qo ones.

Cutting down flat head screws ie those on sockets

The cutting edges went on mine within two weeks. I keep them for cutting bolts only. I agree that Bahco are best.

    Merlin gerin /schneider

At least Merlin don't change the shape or alter the way the breakers fit the busbars. Even the new rcbos fit the old dbs with the Y shaped pins. The new green schnieder livery does look odd though.
