    Its the motor capacitor which kickstarts the motor at fault (Its rated 8mf )

    No Electric To Cooker

    Post make and model but from the sound of it and providing the terminal block at the back of the cooker is ok then it has to be some kind of over heat cut-out that has failed.

    You should buy a Tumble dryer condensor box (B&Q online £10.99) this sits besides the dryer and the hose connects on the top of it and negate's the need to ever have to place the hose out of a window .
