If it was ok before then its got to be the wiring or a faulty salus. Tried using this make before but had no end of trouble with them. Just make sure the remote is switching the receiver on/ off . You only need three wires to the receiver box from the boiler, Ls on boiler to live on receiver...

Hi, does the boiler fire gas during this time?? Or is it just the pump running. Boilers have a pump or fan overrun to cool themselves after the heating demand stops so might just b that. If there is fairly short spells between the thermostat calling for heat then it may be the boiler never cools...

Gas to water only has system water in it ie the water in your radiators. Water to water has the system water heated my the gas to water exchanger on one side and the cold mains water on the other side. System water passes its heat to the cold water and hot water comes out other end.
