Petrol mower vs a hand pushed mower

I have a fairly large uneven garden, and am in need of a mower. I'm wanting advice on whether a hand pushed mower would be suitable? I want an energy efficient option, would rather avoid handling petrol, and keen to stay away from exhaust fumes. Are hand pushed mowers a any good for big jobs...

Advice for fixing damaged kitchen worktop surface

How would an iron draw out the white water rings? Is moisture causing the white effect? (I would have assumed moisture would cause it to turn darker?). I don't know what the original treatment was as I have brought the property recently.

Advice for fixing damaged kitchen worktop surface

Hi, The area around my sink got damaged over the weekend. I suspect it may be due to lingering baking soda and vinegar which I was using to clean the sink itself. The staining on the wood has been burned off, leaving the surface exposed. Pictures below: Any suggestions to fix...

Are these grey 8mm wall plugs suitable for masonry?

Have quite a heavy mirror to put up, and unsure whether to use the standard 7mm brown plugs, or these 8mm grey ones: Is the above suitable for masonry, or are they usually for plasterboard? If the plug is 8mm do I use a 8mm drill bit? What size screw would be suitable? Thanks!

Curved door not latching on plate

Our bathroom door is curved inwards such that the door doesn't latch at all (the top and bottom touch the wood, but the middle part doesn't reach the plate. Easiest thing to do I guess is move the metal plate forward by a centimeter. Are there alternative suggestions? I read somewhere else...

How to fix an uneven wall mirror

Disclaimer - I am an absolute newbie! I drilled holes into a concrete wall for a large (approx 1m x 1m) 10kg mirror yesterday, and the result of the effort is a mirror which is around 5mm lower on the left side. 5mm isn't a lot, but the slight slant is enough bother me. What is the best way...
