If i am in breach then i have totally misunderstood the 300mm rule , i thought it was from the highest point If it isnt , then of course yes i have breached because we have essentially paved over a rockery so we obviously went 300mm above that ground (middle patio)

If the 300mm rule applies from the highest part of the land adjacent to the house , how can you not tell from the photos? As thats the tittle of the thread, i would be interested to know how it is it cant be seen from the pictures

Hi It will be a roll 4m x 5m , , the area its going on , is larger (6 x 5) but i dont want joins so will have decorative trestles etc along the sides , but the front , will go up to the edge of the patio which is a step , so will need to secure that edge down really to avoid a trip...

Thanks Deluks The thing that worries us , is now , where we are able to stand on the end of the 2nd patio , we can see over into our neighbours garden , they do only have 2 foot panels with a foots trellis on mind you , so it feels `intrusive` , the row of houses do have a few raised patios...

Hi The patio at the top by the sliding doors, has been raised by the thickness of 38mm slab and muck , straight over original crazy paved patio..with half of that old wall you can see coming down
