I'm about to bash the ceiling down in my hall and re-insulate and re-board, it has a flat roof above it. I don't know what sort of insulation I will find (built 1970), what sort of insulation should I use before re-boarding. Many thanks.

Unfortunately there is no grass verge. It goes; pavement then road.
