    Shower Burn Out

I took Chri5 advice and e-mailed 3 electricians (sent them pictures and used some of your electricians speak from this post). All 3 came back within 12 hours, 3 different prices; £25, £30 and £49.50. I will let you know how it works out. Regards.

    Shower Burn Out

The shower was installed about 3 years ago, never had a problem. Has the wire worked itself loose somehow? I don't know what you mean 'what size cable is this connected to?' Thanks.

    Shower Burn Out

You can see by the pictures that a couple of wires have burnt out inside my electric shower. I'm not sure I fancy taking this on myself and will need to get someone in. Can anyone help me with the following; 1/. Why has it suddenly done this? 2/. Is there a simple way (electricians...

    Laying Cobbles

The cobbles are only 50mm in depth which would only allow a small haunch. I meant should I get an adging stone which is deeper (say 100mm) hence allowing for a bigger haunch Thanks.

    Laying Cobbles

Thanks chaps. The cobbles are for light foot traffic. What about if the ground is heavy clay, will they start moving in a few years? Am I best to get a more substantial edging stone, not as attractive as having cobbles abutting the lawn, but at least you know they will do the job?

    Laying Cobbles

Is this the correct way to fit 100 x 100 cobbles? Will the edging cobbles come loose over time? Many thanks.

    Lining paper won't stay up

Why did I paper over a newly skimmed ceiling? I was waiting for someone to ask that. Two reasons; 1/. My friend skimmed the ceiling, the finish was good but not perfect 2/. I have some time on my hands at the moment so I decided to practice my paper hanging skills. I'm glad I did, I...

    Lining paper won't stay up

I've been trying to hang 1400 lining paper onto my ceiling, but it won't stay up. It's a newly plastered ceiling (over Artex), the ceiling has dried out, I have sized it once (which dried in about 20 minutes). When I pushed the paper onto the ceiling it just fell straight off again - no...
