Alison,dont worry about getting anyone in trouble you have paid a large amount of money,for something that isnt right,kick up a stink,dont try resolve it yourself,you will invalidate any gaurentee(sp) you had.

In1234,my reply should have read :oil based undercoat I applied was to the metal beading on the corners to prevent rust forming.

I have given mine a coat of oil based undercoat,prior to emulsioning,or even papering.

Alison,you must be furious,especially at the price you have had to pay.Really hope they sort it out for you,could you insist new cubicle etc. now they have "likely" bodged it?

GSM, could possibly be Bells Palsy,which is very distressing. EARLY diagnosis is very important,as is treatment (Steroids) which dont always work,but best option. Get her to A&E,straight away for diagnosis.Let us know how she goes on.
