    Citroen C5 Diesel

I suppose that 40minutes is just what you've heard?? Nothing that you would ever think of trying!! Still I think half the fun back in my youff was the added thrill of whether the car would actually make it to Newquay in the first place!!

    Citroen C5 Diesel

they wouldn't be the best roads for fuel economy alright........not that a few of us used to get together and see who could get from the Tamar Bridge (used to live in Pemros Road, when it was the main route, well the only route in fact, to the Tamar Bridge) to Newquay first........now that sort...

    Citroen C5 Diesel

Quite impressive mpg, most of his travelling, well in fact pretty much all of it, is "motorway" driving (in inverted commas as the motorways over here are a little............different lets say to what you would be used to in the UK). And for what seems to be a pretty heavy car there is a...

    Citroen C5 Diesel

Ok back in work now so can check this again!! Seems to have started a bit of a discussion from the original question..... So it's a '03 2.0HDi, the 110BHP model (level 2???). Actually seems like quite a nice car, though I've only been in it the once so my experience is kind of lacking...

    Citroen C5 Diesel

Tried that already, can't find anything that say whether it is or not. Unless I'm completely missing something that is Scrap that................obviously instead of looking at the pages about the C5 itself, the information was in the Citroen Technology pages.........sure why would i have...

    Citroen C5 Diesel

Bit of a silly question this, does anyone know if the 2.0HDI 110BHP has a turbo or not. Friend of mine got one yesterday and wasn't sure. Simple enough thought I, lift the bonnet and we'll take a look............ever seen under the bonnet of one of these.............great if your into plastic...

    Play Matting

'twould be a bit of a trip alright!! This bark idea is looking like its going to be the way to go I think. Do you get any problems with it being dragged out when the kids are running around? Am thinking about maybe using sleepers to build the enclosure bit, I guess these would be deep enough...

    Play Matting

Thanks for the replies chaps, the bark chips sound like a good idea too have to look into that. Is it ok to just lay the bark on top of the soil or would it be better to put some sort of membrane type stuff below it to stop the weeds and grass growing through?

    Play Matting

Theres the usual swings, slide and soon to be trampoline in the garden now. It's for a bit of both really I suppose, give the little dears a bit of a more gentle landing and to stop them bringing in have the bogs of Westmeath into the house. After reading it though think I may also look into...

    Play Matting

Well with the summer hopefully on the way I'm lookng at getting the garden ready for the kids to go out a leap about in it generally destroying everything and turning the lawn into some sort of mud field. Now I remember seeing somewhere (probably on one of those Tommy Walsh/Garden makeover...

    Faulty MCBs??

just incase anyone does answer............i won't be reading the forums till wednesday so if i don't reply for a few days doesn't mean i've disappeared or anything!! Only have broadband access in work............one of the "joys" of living out in the middle of nowhere!! They've actually just...

    Faulty MCBs??

Oops, my bad!! should have posted this in the non uk electrics one...... The ring main cable is indeed 2.5mm, but the breakers are 20amps, as securespark said i guess the regs are different over here. As I did my apprenticeship in the UK I too was expecting 32amp breakers for the ring main...

    Faulty MCBs??

No takers for this one then eh!! Okay, so changed out the MCB and everything is hunky dory again now, this one had gone the same as the other - the breaker was not latching on. Maybe I'll reword the question...............is there a period of time after which it is recommended...

    Faulty MCBs??

Just wondering if there is a finite live time for an MCB. Reason I'm asking is that since Tueday I've had two which appear to have failed, both on different ring circuits, both 20 Amp. I had to turn both breakers off on Tuesday as I had to remove some sockets from the wall in order to put the...

    Cold Bridging

Thanks for the advice guys, the link was a great help. Looks like I'll have to trawl through the hardware shops/builders merchants of Ireland over the weekend and find some trickle vents I can fit to the windows. unfortunately the windows though PVC aren't the nice fancy ones with either a vent...

    Cold Bridging

Thanks for the reply Tom, The external wall to the front of the house is red brick, the sides and back have been dashed. As far as I know there is no cavity wall insulation. The house itself is probably around 9 or 10 years old I would say. The majority of the mould (in fact pretty much all...

    Cold Bridging

Just fell across this forum and from what I've seen it looks to be pretty comprehensive. I have noticed a few patches of mould appearing on the ceiling/wall joins in some of the rooms of the bungalow I'm living in. I am guessing they are something to do with either cold bridging or condensation...
