I have just spent a couple of hrs wire brushing the flaky deck treatment off my decking which I put up a couple of yrs ago .
I seem to re-cover it each year .
I am planning to extend the decking and saw some plastic decking product in a window/fascia board outlet a few months ago ...
Is there a simple set of instructions on here about how to use the testers ?
I found no instructions with them when I bought them ,so really I would not be sure how or what to do with each of the probe ends to get the correct info from the unit .
I am sure its simple, but advice would be...
I do actually have both the neon type screwdriver tester and the other type of tester shown .
I just forgot to use them thinking they were all off on the same circuit !!!!! :roll:

I was kneeling on a Limmer floor at the time (bedroom on ground floor ).
Dont know what compelled me to test them by holding them both but will know better in future .!!!

Carpet fitters were due to arrive in an hour so I thought get them done beforehand so no dirt on new carpet .

No i didnt clean it off after sanding !!!
I presumed sanding would take off all the grime .
I will know for next time .
I applied all the coats because I wanted a nice flat finish with no imperfections ,so I sanded in between coats to get it as flat as I could ...
Spoke to someone today who said it may be because I tried to do a second coat of gloss before the first coat of gloss had dried properly .
As Im impatient this could be true .
Anybody else confirm this may be the problem ?

Yes the brush may well of been wet ,or damp anyway .
I did shake off as much water as possible so it wasnt dripping .Would a damp brush cause this with liquid gloss .?
