I have a control pack that contadicts itself. The diagram for the cylinder stat shows three teminals - call, sat and common.Ther are no other terminals on the diagram or the stat itself. The wiring centre however has four wires for the cyl stat - that fourth one being an earth symbol. As...

    Use for flex

A major clearout at work netted me two big reels of 3-core flex for the price of lugging it home. Great - however on further inspection, inside the thick white insulation there are blue and brown copper stranded cores at about 4mm - but no earth core. Instead there is what appears to be a...

what would you guys use as coving primer -the "proper stuff " or something different/better? I thought about standard undercoat would this be ok? The coving is good quality stuff in 3.6m lengths from Jewsons but its an absolute biatch to get pure white.

    Afsinst.exe.

Very few drives even have more than 12months warranty now. It scares me that capacities have gone up and up (400GB are on sale now) encouraging us to store vast amounts of eggs in one basket, while prices have come down and down suggesting cheap build quality. Alterntives Backing up 400gb onto...

What is it with 22mm pipe

22mm gives less flow resistance to the water so its a good thing if a little more expensive.Only reduce to 15 if you have to but it shouldnt make too much difference. Push fit works well but is horrendously priced in comparison with end feed. You have to cut ,deburr and clean the pipe in both...
