    Pushfit question

Hi Guys, Inserts were fitted etc. I checked it again this morning and there was a tiny amount of moisture. So I bit the bullet and changed it for a conventional metal compression fitting. Not a hint of leakage!! Back to the good old days :D . Happy man. Only thing now to do is the gaping...

    Pushfit question

Hi, Is it possible for a pushfit coupler to weep intermittently? I have a new pushfit coupler on 22mm plastic pipe close to the stop cock. It is there due to a repair, so it is sitting on the breezeblock bricks and exposed through a hole in the plasterboard. Most days it is dry but some...

Drained system, now towel radiator not working

A tad unnecessasry? I had a plumber from a national out and he agreed the probable cause was the blender valve. One coming Monday so I guess we will see. I admire your confidence.

Drained system, now towel radiator not working

Hi, I drained down my system today and replaced the speedfit 15x10 reducer coupling with a brass inserts 15x10 internal compression reducers. Filled back up, all radiators working fine apart from the towel radiator! It is cold. I slackened off the tail nut a bit and water came out (but...

    Blending valve fault?

Well, I soaked the valve in acid (Vinegar) for a few hours. But problem not solved. When I turn the valve to the furthest cold, then the flow from the taps is good. Then says to me that the PRV is fine. I also poored some lliquid down the coil outlet and it flowed through fine so I guess...

    Blending valve fault?

Hi, We have a thermal store and a powermax blending valve. The hot water has become a trickle (although it is still hot if I adjust the valve). The CH etc works fine. I believe it is a P757 blending valve, do you think this would be the issue? Cold water pressure if fine. It's £100 so I...

    No inhibitor!

Well, Fernox TF1 magnetic filter installed and X400 added. Loved using the 28mm pipe cutter (round thing you put on the pipe and rotate) fantastic and gratifying clean straight cut! Will run and clean the system for the next four weeks then drain and put in the X400. Thanks everyone...

    Wireless options?

Hi Galoka, That sounds brilliant, however I am not sure it will work. I think it does not matter what the existing thermostat is doing if the seperate control unit is not set for the CH to be on. And I don't want the CH to be on all the time at the control unit because the pumps will also be...
