    Sizing: PVA vs the others

I rely on the shine to guide me when rolling the pva on, which is why I'm often seen hovering just above the wall surface with a distant stare. So armed with this little tip I will no longer look like I've PVA'ed myself to the wall :) Thx!

    Charging battery using CTEK XS3600

I bought a ctek xs3600 charger the other day which allows me to charge my car battery without removing it from the car. However, the instructions are confusing me. The charger is supplied with a set of clamps designed to grasp the battery poles and a set of eyelet terminals which you bolt...

Junction Box and Heat Resistant Cable

I'll report in once I've fitted the lights. Just out of interest, if I were to replace the 28w for a 16w, would the heat output reduce?

    Sizing: PVA vs the others

I can walk into any diy shop and buy a big pot of PVA, but finding 'glue size' is not so easy. I can also use PVA for glueing wood together, so from a practical point of view PVA just seems more versatile. Are there any bad points to using PVA as a sealer for walls prior to wallpapering? Such...

Junction Box and Heat Resistant Cable

Thanks rocky, I'll play it super safe and see if my local supplier has any 1.0mm heat resistant flex AND use the sleeving supplied with the lamp. Impressive eyesight, you can read the number on the bulb in that pic

    Sizing: PVA vs the others

I've read a lot of threads on this forum relating to 'sizing' a wall prior to wallpapering. Some say use PVA, some say use thinned down wallpaper adhesive, others say use glue size. If we were to lock the three in a cage fight who would come out on top and why?

Junction Box and Heat Resistant Cable

Here's some better pics... The bare fitting The fiting with 28w bulb The sleeve covers The cable from the junction box will come through the hole in the bottom right portion of the fitting, near the connector block and the sticker with the number 4 on it. So only about 40mm if...

Alrighty so let me summarise here, I need to get... - 2 cameras - 2 Transmitters - 2 Receivers - 1 DVR with at least 2 channels (only seen 4 channel ones so far) - 1 monitor I take it the back of the DVR will have enough sockets at the back to plug in the two receivers. I set one...

    Wired to wireless cctv

The house is surrounded by a concrete pathway 8ft wide that can't be dug up :( I've seen DVR's with built in multiplex, so will this allow me to record both cameras at the same time? How does it know which channels I'm broadcasting on? thx d.

    Wired to wireless cctv

ok can someone confirm if I'm right or wrong on this one please? I have been asked to set up two camera's on an outside shed and link them up to a DVR recorder in the house. The whole system to be wireless. Now the catch is, the cameras can't be visible. So that pretty much voids the...

Anyone fitted one of these recently: http://www.plumbworld.co.uk/1944-17115 The above website gives the tube diameter as 105mm The suggested diameter of the cut out is 117mm, however the drill I've hired to cut the hole only has 107mm or 127mm bits. Just wondering if 107 will be...
