    airlocking

I do have a bleed nipple which I release air from. I do release air but it still bubbles around. The pump gets really warm as well.

    airlocking

Hi, I've read through some of the posts and I am still unsure what the issue is. I have a hot water tank, cold storage in the loft and Worcester boiler. I've drained the central heating to move to rads which were badly placed. I've done this and refilled the system. However when the...

    metal work?

many thanks for the replies. My dad would not be happy if he had to come back :) I think suggestion one is good and I didn't even think of a graveyard :) For a temp measure I will get him to lay tiles behind and silcone for sealing. Then get a new plate made up. Such a shame as he did a...

    LED Lighting in bathroom

I'm very grateful for assistance on this forum. I am not 100% what you are talking about. My sparky fitted a new 10unit consumer unit and completed full tests. I am not a sparky but he took the socket at the furthest point and a light. He connected something to it and recorded results. He...

    LED Lighting in bathroom

my sparky is coming around to rewire the house. Connecting these bad boys is beyond my electrical skill. Although these don't have an earth (IP65) the rest of my lighting circuit is missing them (old house not fitted). The consumer unit is done.

    LED Lighting in bathroom

HI I'VE DONE IT! Thanks for your help. I did it your way but with the prong bit going into the other side first. It was not going in the other way at all. This now holds perfectly!

    LED Lighting in bathroom

I still don't think I have it right :( I put the prong bit behind the metal and tried to connect it but it just seemed to wedge itself behind. Maybe I am trying to connect it the wrong way around? I've added a couple of photos to see if you could point my feeble brain a bit more please

    LED Lighting in bathroom

I meant 1CM :) It feels like the clip wants to fall out and it does if I wiggle it. I'm not really sure what I am doing wrong

    LED Lighting in bathroom

I've opted for the Halers H2 which look fantastic. However the spring loaded clips are extremely poor or I am being useless! I've fitted them to position A as my plaster ceiling is 100m thick. I put them through a 60cm hole and the clips don't seem to do anything. I push them through and...

    LED Lighting in bathroom

Hi, I've read through some posts and am none the wiser. I have a bathroom measuring 1.79m by 2.7m. I want to install downlight as its a low ceiling. I went to b and q and spoke to the sparky who said don't touch LED lights because they don't give out enough light they focus more on one...
